Welcome to Acorns Day Nursery!

We are a wonderful nursery located in the heart of Sevenoaks in Kent. Our nursery offers children a happy, nurturing, safe and stimulating place to learn and develop and grow. We look after children aged 3 months to 5 years, and each age group has their own dedicated room. Offering flexible full-time and part-time childcare places, Acorns Day Nursery provides year-round nursery support for families and their children in a home from home environment.

Open Monday to Friday

We are open Monday to Friday and closed on bank holidays and in-between Christmas and New Year.

Our team of qualified nursery officers are dedicated, qualified practitioners who have a genuine love of childcare and providing the highest levels of care and education for your children. Paediatric First Aid qualifications are held by our officers and relevant additional training can be accessed at any time, including degree level qualifications. Together they bring a breadth of childcare knowledge and experience and their ‘can do’ approach means all children in their care receive constant support and encouragement.

Inspiring Nursery in Sevenoaks

Acorns Day Nursery is situated in the grounds of Sevenoaks Primary School. Situated in a large, enclosed garden, the children enjoy the space and freedom to run, slide and climb on our lovely equipment. The garden is shaded under the canopy of mature trees - great for shade in the summer and fun with leaves in the autumn. There are climbing frames, swings, climbing ropes and balance beams for the children to choose from.

Our Nursery Setting

The rooms inside Acorns are divided into the Baby Room for 6 months - 18 months, the Chipmunks Room for 18 months - 2 years, the Badgers Room for 2 years - 3 years and the Foxes Room for 3 years plus. Each room is thoughtfully designed and furnished with the key aim of providing age relevant playing equipment that stimulates and encourages learning for the child's stage of development. All rooms enjoy time in our lovely garden and our older children have ‘free flow’ access during their nursery day.

Nursery Schools Fees and Funding

Our daily fee includes morning snack, hot lunch, snack tea and all drinks. For information on our fees and funding options please contact Joanne Luffman-Cook at the nursery.

Both my children love Acorns – and have even asked to go there at the weekends! It has given them a happy, secure, stable beginning in life and I feel they have a strong bond with the staff.

The Early Years Foundation Stage

As a nursery we work to The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The Early Years curriculum sets the standard for all early year providers. Our nursery ensures that all children learn and develop inline with Early Years and are kept healthy and safe at all times.
