Welcome to Acorns Day Nursery!

Acorns Day Nursery is a preschool located in Sevenoaks in Kent. Acorns Day Nursery offers children aged 3 months to 5 years old, including children of preschool age a nurturing and stimulating place to develop and grow. Each age group has their own room allowing us to tailor and target the care given to your child and cater for preschool aged children. Acorns Day nursery gives a home-from-home environment where we offer year-round nursery support for families and their children by offering flexible full-time and part-time childcare places.

Preschool Monday to Friday

Acorns Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday. We are closed on bank holidays and in-between Christmas and New Year.

Each member of the Acorns Day Nursery team have a genuine love and dedication to childcare. Our qualified practitioners provide a high level of education and care to each child. Our nursery officers hold Paediatric First Aid qualifications and relevant additional training is accessed regularly, including degree level qualifications. As a team their advanced childcare knowledge means every single child in their care is offered constant encouragement and support.

Encouraging Preschool in Sevenoaks

Acorns Day Nursery is located in a large, enclosed garden within the grounds of Sevenoaks Primary School. The children have the use of our range of great equipment. This includes climbing frames, swings, climbing ropes and balance beams. Our garden provides a perfect place for shade in the summer and a place for autumn fun when the leaves begin to fall as it is situated under a large canopy of tress. The large garden allows the children at Acorns Day Nursery a safe space to run, slide and climb.

Preschool Nursery Rooms

Divided by age the children are put into different rooms. The Baby Room for 6 months - 18 months, the Chipmunks Room for 18 months - 2 years. For preschool aged children we have the Badgers Room for 2 years - 3 years and the Foxes Room for 3 years plus. We have designed and furnished each room with the relevant playing equipment to suit your child's age and to encourage their stage of development. All the children experience the advantages of our indoor and outdoor facilities as every room enjoys dedicated time in our great garden and the older pre school aged children have ‘free flow’ access during their nursery day.

Preschool Fees and Funding

Please contact our nursery manager Joanne Luffman-Cook at the nursery for information relating to our fees and government funding options.

Our daily fee includes morning snack, hot lunch, snack tea and all drinks.

Both my children love Acorns – and have even asked to go there at the weekends! It has given them a happy, secure, stable beginning in life and I feel they have a strong bond with the staff.

The Early Years Foundation Stage

All early year providers are required to follow the standards set by The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). At Acorns Day Nursery we go above and beyond to ensure all the children develop and learn in-line with the Early Years curriculum.
